What are Cicchetti? And what are the 50x50 events?
Cicchetti (or cichetti) are small savory snacks served in Venice's bacari. One typically eats cicchetti while standing, accompanying them with a glass of wine.
Save Venice's 50x50 are a series of 50 international events, hosted and underwritten by individuals in each location in lieu of a single large 50th anniversary bash.
I can no longer attend. Can I get a refund of my donation?
We regret that donations can not be refunded, however, we are happy to allow another individual to attend the appreciation reception in your place. Please email us at 50x50sf@gmail.com with any guest changes.
Will this event be cancelled due to Covid? What safety
precautions are you taking?
We are banking on the scientific prediction that the current surge will have subsided by the end of February, and we have no intention of cancelling this event unless city health mandates require us to do so. In the case of cancellation, the event will be rescheduled, subject to possible changes in venue and format.
Per War Memorial guidelines, all guests must present proof of receipt of all necessary shots and boosters recommended by the city of San Francisco. Guests are asked to wear masks when not actively eating and drinking, and large doors will be open to the outdoor loggia, which offers plenty of outdoor space for mingling.
